Weekend Update!

Hi everybody. This week has been a bit all over the place! I started my week by seeing Mike Hosty play at the Deli last Sunday before he went in for heart surgery. It was a beautiful thing to see so many people there to share their love with Mike. My thoughts are with him and his family, we're all hoping for a quick recovery. Come back and rock the Deli with us soon :)

And as if the theme of the week were repairs, a horrible accident befell my guitar this week. My beautiful Loar arch top guitar is now sporting 3 cracks in the top. But just like Mike it'll be back in action soon. It's currently in the capable hands of Jason Combs who is getting her back in fighting shape. But in the meantime, Jason was kind enough to loan me one of his beautiful jazz boxes. I was feeling so inspired by it that I recorded a little rendition of "Si Tu vois ma mère" on that guitar. That track is attached below! Enjoy!

Upcoming Shows!

This weekend you can catch me and the Low Swingin' Chariots at the Colony in Tulsa, OK this Friday (2/7) with Jacob Tovar & the Saddle Tramps as well as Victor and Penny of Kansas City. The next evening (2/8) Me and the boys will be playing at Californos with Victor and Penny. This weekend will be the first weekend run to some new cities for me and my band so I'm looking forward to meeting some new people out on that wide open road!

Stay safe everyone! Enjoy your week and I'll see you soon :)

"Feelings" by Run on Sentence

Howdy! Last May I met some of the greatest dudes I know when they came to Breathing Rhythm Studio to record an album. Dustin, and Dan of Run on Sentence started tracking their new album "Feelings" the week after Norman Music Festival and magic happened! I really liked all of their music and offered to contribute in any way I could. I ended up playing bass, guitar, and lap steel on a good chunk of the album and I'm so proud of the work we all did. Since then, they have been working hard on the album and it's almost done but they need a little support to push it over the edge. Below is a link to their Kickstarter page where you can pre-order the album. Please take a moment to check it out and if you dig it, kick them a little cash in exchange for an awesome album.

VDub Session!

Hey all! A few weeks ago my band crammed into a VW van to record my song "Shot of Whiskey!" It was a great time and I'm honored to be a part of it. You can see my VDub session and many other great video sessions at www.vdubsessions.com

This song will be on the new CD that Steve and I are currently wrapping up the mixes for. More details on that soon!

I hope everyone has a great day, and I'll see you out there.

Music for Moore concert!

Next Wednesday at the Bricktown Event Center I'll be playing at the Music for Moore concert with my band, the Low Swingin' Chariots. Ticket sales will go to Red Cross and will help people affected by the recent Tornados. It's amazing to see a comunity come together like this. Come out and be a part of it, we're helping our neighbors right here. The lineup for this show is fantastic! So much Okie pride.
